One Church, One Family

The Manual for the Bridge Model of Transitional Housing
Since its founding in 1988 Bridge Communities has served as a model for transitional housing in DuPage County.

As an organization, Bridge has helped several hundred homeless families become self-sufficient by partnering with churches throughout DuPage County. The Bridge Transitional Housing Program provides apartments, supportive services and a stable environment for homeless families who are working on developing the skills necessary to live independently. Bridge's Program Partners provide volunteer mentors and essential financial support to the families in our Program.

Our Dream is to share this model with churches across the County, helping them develop their own programs for homeless families. Your church can make a difference in your community…helping one family at a time. We can help you begin.
