The Glen Ellyn Kitchen Walk, held on October 3rd, raised $14,000 for Bridge Communities transitional housing program. Mitch Williams, chair of the Kitchen Walk and Baird & Warner’s Glen Ellyn Goodwill Network stated, “Bridge Communities’ needs $25 to care for each of the clients each night. The Kitchen Walk will fund 560 nights of housing and services.”

The funds raised will help provide housing, mentoring, financial management skills and education opportunities to homeless families in DuPage County. The goal of the Bridge Communities’ 2-year program is for the family to become financial stable and self-sufficient.
