Bridge Communities is celebrating its 20th Anniversary of transforming lives of homeless families who live and work in DuPage County. What began by co-founders Mark Milligan and Bob Wahlgren when they decided, in 1988, to begin to help homeless families, has now become a powerful current of change in the lives of thousands of extremely low to low income families.
Mark Miligan reflects on how the organization has grown, "The question I am often asked is: Did you think Bridge Communities would grow into such a large organization when you started it? My answer is without reservation: No, but I have always believed that neighbors working together could help the homeless community in DuPage County,"
